BBSAK 1.7 Released (10/25/09)
This application is in the beta stages and we will continue to update as we release new versions. Just keep a watch on this thread. BB SAK was built as a JL Cmdr replacement tool with a more friendly GUI. It uses Javaloader to do its magic. I hope that you all will find it as useful as I do. Any thanks post there here in this thread. Also if you post on other sites please use the link provided here, so we can keep count of downloads.

Are there any other locations to download for some reason I can't download from rimgeeks?

RIM Geeks won't let me register either. Is there another mirror somewhere?
Mmmmm.... Android.

Is there a way to bypass or stop the Auto Update. I am behind a corporate firewall and can't get to the rimgeeks site. So when it tries to update, it fails and the app won't start. I am trying to get ver 1.6 but can't find an active mirror.

What if I don't want vendor.xml deleted? I'm using their os.

You have to right click and run as administrator or right click, properties, compatibility and check run as admin.
On a side note when I was following instruction on installing a new OS it said to disconnect from the internet and if I did before I opened BBSAK I got an error about it being expired or something like that.
I connected back to the internet and reopened it and it worked no problem then I disconnected from the internet. Also before it would recognize my tour I had to click on kill processes. I'm on win7 home premium 64 bit. - 01-09-2010, 04:22 PM #17
OK, it opened so now click on kill processes and then connect.

You might want to try to keep some of the many things you have running and loading at startup when you run it also. It would help your pc run better also or are all of those programs just pinned to the taskbar?
- 01-09-2010, 05:37 PM #19
you have the latest framework installed?
- 01-09-2010, 06:01 PM #20
It worked for me on win7 64 bit. Forgot I also checked in compatibility to run in vista sp3.

Still no luck, I give up, I'm going to find another means of backing up 3rd party apps and wiping the phone (if such things exist for this OS).
I have shortcuts pinned to my taskbar, they are not all running. Plus I'm using .NET framework 4.0Goals are dreams with a deadline. - 01-09-2010, 06:25 PM #22
Wish I could help you it did work for me on win7. Have you tried opening BBSAK before plugging your phone in, hit ok, ok until the screen is up then click kill processes, plug your phone in, click connect?
I haven't tried safe mode to see if that might work also. Don't know if doing remote control would help either. - 01-09-2010, 06:29 PM #23
Maybe even though you have netframework 4, you still need 2? I have all of them that are aval. You could read this and see if it helps.

another BBSAK fail
I have the same problem that In2ition has, only I have an 8900, running OS 5.0.0.411 (not beta). I've tried earlier versions of BBSAK; none of them connect. I've turned off UAC, tried "kill process" multiple times, tried unplugging and replugging the device USB with BBSAK running. I also tried installing BBSAK on a Windows XP machine and still could not connect to the device. To me, this suggests that the problem is some setting on the 8900 itself, but I have no idea what it could be.
