people will just wait until it's leaked as there is always more than one source. Why jump through hoops for no real guarantee that the person will deliver?

This makes no sense to me. How would BBM have any effect on SMS? Wouldn't that be controlled by the net_rim_bb_sms cod file?

I may be TOTALLY wrong here but its my understanding that sms messages will be handled thru Blackberry messenger.

I couldnt care less where the app comes from or who leaks it. As far as Im concerned this is something RIM should have done 2 years ago when winMO started threaded sms. This is the one item I absolutely hate about my BB. The sms system currently installed is completely dated and insufficient compared to the capabilities of these phones.
