Hi all I have an unlocked Telus Blackberry 9780 that I use with Fido (both are cdn. carriers). On friday while syncing my medias to my phone, the Blackberry Desktop Software notified me that there is an available update (which i believe is the 6.0.0.461). So I quickly backed everything up, updated the firmware and restore it. Everything was fine and normal until I noticed that the bb battery reading (options>device>device and status information) and my third-party battery app (BatteryWatch) doesn't match. For example, the device would show 85% while the batterywatch would show 83% (the device is always up by 2%). I tried downloading other apps to see if its just the batterywatch, but no-- all of them were 2% behind. I rebooted the phone (pulling out the battery).. nothing. I completely drained the battery to the point it automatically shutdown (hoping it would calibrate the battery or something) but still nothing. So I dont know... I dont really want to reinstall the OS as Im not really familiar with that process as I dont want to mess anything up. Or am I just SOL??
Anyways.. HELP!
PS: Sorry forgot to add in case. Yeah everything was working perfectly fine before the update so yeah..**
Wooww I was just gonna post about the 5 increments lol. Because I noticed that when I fully charge my battery, they both show 100%. And then when the batterywatch displayed 94%, bb was at 95%. When bw was at 82%, bb was at 80%. Sometimes I would see both of them showing the same percentage. I would see them at 80%, 70% or 60% at the same time. So yea, I guess that settles it thanks everyone! Ughh, I just hope I did not do any permanent damage to my battery by fully draining it once to the point you couldn't turn it on unless you plug it in because I've read you are not supposed to that to li-ion batteries. *finger-cross*
Anyways thanks everyone!!
