Read somewhere in CB that APP WORLD app was causing memory leak. (which I had...both memory leak & APP WORLD installed) I deleted APP WORLD app and memory has been stable for the past 24 hours. Who would've thought the APP WORLD app would contribute to a memory leak?
Same here on my storm...I reinstalled it and the memory leak came back... so I just uninstalled it again...everything is good now...thanks but no thanks appworld

I had the same issue. I hadn't had the problem before with BB app world. Maybe it came with a recent update. I noticed I started having a leak. I removed app world and the leak was gone.
It's amazing a program, developed by RIM, to promote RIM apps, could be so bad. I would recommend using it when absolutely necessary, and then deleting it till the next time. There's certain apps you can't get anywhere else, like AirKast, and apps that only come in the newest release on there, like Yahoo IM. Everything else can be obtained somewhere else, and should.
