I don't have a data plan with my carrier (t-mobile), but I have email only plan, and would like to use apps like pandora, gmail or google maps when I have wi-fi connection - but can not for some reason. I get a message saying I need a data connection even thought I can browse the web on the browser and download things (like pandora for example) I have the latest 4.5.0.81 OS that I just got few minutes ago. Do I have to unlock the handset or something? I don't understand why these things wouldn't work with an active wifi connection. Can I force them to use wifi?
Its not a rush, just had this thing for over a year, and would like to take it to the next level. Thanks, Ilya
