How do I do The ALT+RST method to restores apps to My World after an OS upgrade or similar event that causes My World to be "emptied."

I have storm 2 what is the ALT button.

I dont know what you mean by the alt option... just sign into your paypal and all your apps should be back in your world

i think if you go to the "my world" section and hit the menu button then show keyboard and type "3-4-(", app world will perform the process your looking for.

I did exactly what you stated. Nothing happens.

Can someone post the exact things to type in order, and when, please?

At least in AppWorld 3.1 running under 7.1 on a 9850, what works for me is to bring up the keyboard in the main AppWorld screen, press the &%123 key, and then press 3. At that point for me, it goes back to the alphabetic keyboard. I then hit the &%123 key again, and enter

(it stays in the numeric screen this time). I then see the "Please wait" popup, and after a few seconds, it closes, and the reset is complete.
