ok i have had a google around and i am really surprised there is not more chat about this on the internet.

I have a load of files stored on my blackberry and i'm prepared to convert them into whatever format is necessary... html, pdf, etc.

I want an app that will work like google desktop on my pc, so i can enter specific text and it will come up with a list of files that contain that text.

Mobipocket ebook reader can't do it.
    Google app can't do it.
Pdf viewing apps can't do it.

Any ideas?? I don't mind paying for the app. Any help would be fantastic!

I too would love such an app! Isn't this an OS6 "Universal Search" feature?

Good tip-off, thank you. It would seem to be an OS6 feature from info available, although it's not completely clear that it can search within files for text... I will have to wait for the 9700 OS6 release. Can anyone clarify that OS6 can definitely do this?

Looks like OS6 can't do it:

So the challenge is there if anyone knows of or can develop the app.
