One of my coworkers has the new Blackberry Curve 8900. I checked out her free app memory, and she had 112MB of free app memory!!! How come the Curve has so much more free app memory than us? Do they have more total app memory in their phone?
All that matters is to have enough working space for the apps installed and running, with some free left in reserve. The total installed is not important for operational assessments.
For the OP's quoted 112M free, that means effectively around 90M is unused, slack, redundant, sitting idle.
The more free memory the better. Why be forced to uninstall something to install something else because you're tight on space. If I had it my way no BB would leave the factory floor without at least 1GB of app memory and 256 or higher RAM for processing.
