Everyday a screen pops up stating that my app memory is low. I have about 10 apps installed, MAX! Ones such as Pandora, FB, Slacker, etc.

Seems like such a phone could handle more apps-plus there are more I want to install. What can I do to get more memory??

Do I need a larger SD card?? Mine is a 2g...

Also, I don't know if it matters but I never delete emails, SMS, and I have a ton of pics on the card...

Go to Options > Status and post the number for File Free

The memory card is irrelevant as apps and data can't be stored there. Do you have
a lot of pictures, music, videos saved to your phone (not the card) ?

Yes, retaining all emails and text messages will eventually have a deleterious effect
on you app memory as they increase the size of the respective databases. To view
your database sizes Options > Status > Menu Key > Database Sizes

Your databases account for 94MB of memory usage with SMS, MMS, Messages,
and Content Store being the biggest consumers of space.

Your total file free is way too low for reliable operation (I think you figured that
out by now.) It is actually less than one (1) MB.

Is there a reason why you are retaining all of your messages. I would seriously
recommend deciding what is truly worth keeping and deleting the rest.

What I would do is backup the phone and clear all the saved messages. If you
ever need them again you can always restore the backup to retrieve them.

The MMS messages looks like it is taking up about 85MB of space. You may want to make sure you save any pics from them to your SD card then delete the MMS messages.

Just to give you a comparison: I have the same phone. I have 2 saved emails
(I only save the ones that still require action on my part), no saved SMS/MMS,
no saved call logs and a cleared Content Store.

I also have 54 apps installed on the device and 3 themes. My database size is
1453.8K and my File free is 101,349, 234 bytes (call it 100mb)

I believe it is one at a time. Not exactly sure though.

If you must know. 6 are apps I am helping to beta test. 4 are apps I
am evaluating against apps I already use to see which is better.
The remainder are apps I use constantly and most of those are
to make up for some of the shortcomings in the BlackBerry
platform (I.e. eMobile Email, BBNotepad, Add Number As,
    Pocket Informant, etc...)

I do not install things for the sake of having it. If I'm not using it
or find it does not meet my expectations it's gone.

    Clear enough for you?

Yes, the number will fluctuate depending on what you are doing
and which apps are running, BUT, you went from less than 1MB
to over 91MB. Good job . You should notice your phone start
to operate much smoother than before.

Messages you can't. Memos you can with a 3rd party app called BBNotepad. That I use
constantly. In fact I don't even bother installing the default memo application
