Hey guys I am looking for a app that can let me text past 160 characters in a text. I downloaded an app called beyond 160 and it didnt work. SO is there one that will work? Thanks

I don't think you need an app for that. If you and the other person both have texting plans, instead of selecting SMS, select MMS. You don't have to attach a picture or anything, just type instead. It'll allow you much more characters and they'll receive it the same way. Hope this helps!

mms doesn't work if the other person doesn't have that service. you can get beyond160. it's cheap and works great. you may need to delete the app and reinstall. it's a perfect app.

I just downloaded it again and when I try and open beyond160 it says

Uncaught exception:java.lang.Nullpointerexception

So I'm confused what does beyond 160 do if your allowed up to 6 pages to text something to somebody?

I can't find it right now... but I had the same problem and found the NEW version on the developer's website. Mine is working great now. Sry can't find the link.

Beyond160 is awesome I bought it the other day, you need a special version for the tour from the developers website. Don't go by MMS Telus and Bell don't even offer it so don't rely on that.

It just takes what you write and chops it up into 160 character chunks and sends out the required number of texts and numbers the (1/5), (2/5) etc.

I e-mailed the developer and this is the link he sent me for the tour. I downloaded it, and now it works fine. Give it a try.

Doesn't it do that already? in my sms at the top it says


160 (1/6) so wouldnt that mean 1st page 160 characters and then if i go over that 160 limit it changes to

159 (2/6)

so im confused still or am i dumb?
