This is a little bit of a pain, but there is a way to kill processes:
Step 1- Get your Escreen key
Step 2- Go into the engineering menu
Step 3- Navigate to JVM Engineering Screens
Step 4- Click Processes
Step 5- Kill annoying process
To get your Escreen key, you can use the generator found on findmymep.com and use these directions:

•Fill in the info shown on the phone into the calculator (Device PIN, App Version, Uptime, Key Duration - select 1 day)
•The code will automatically populate
•Type this code CAREFULLY into the phone (you will not be able to see what you're typing onscreen). Remember to press the ALT key for numbers.
•As soon as you've entered all 8 characters of the code you will see the 'Engineering Screen Contents' menu
hrm. i fill in the correct info, but I'm not seeing that menu. When it asks for the App version, mine says "5.0.0.732 (1242)". you would put the (1242) part too, right? tried w/ & w/o it & can't get that code to enable the engineering menu
You must type it exactly as you've typed it here: 5.0.0.732 (1242)
Also, if you have a failed attempt you must back out of the Help Me! screen and then go back in. All info will be the same except for the Up Time, which you must update in the generator.
ya. i'm doing it 100% right. i know i am. oh well, maybe this doesn't work for the tour 9630
It 100% works with the 9630. Matter of fact, it works on any BlackBerry with OS 4.2+. Maybe even older.
If you want, exit the Help Me! screen, re-enter into it, and then take a screenshot of both your Help Me! screen and a screenshot of what you're typing into the generator.
Does anyone know of an AppKiller for BlackBerry ?
Freeware would be prefered of course
Thanks in advance,
Raymond
I use an app called TaskManager. Works similar to the Windows application and will close the apps left open and/or show the apps that need to be closed manually. It's not free but $1.99 last time I checked in Mobihand.
