Hello all.... Yep i'm a newbie on this site but a veteran on another BB forum.....
I am contemplating installing the 1.7.0.18 version to replace the 1.0.0.18 that came with my 8100. I'm with T-mo running OS 4.2.1.107.
The FB 1.0 runs great (well as great as it can being that it a bit of a dinosaur of an app)
Any advice, tips, suggestions, horror stories from anyone that tried the new 1.7?
Is there a better version to use than the one i'm running in case the 1.7 is not the way to go right now?

If you're willing to part with 1MB of space; I'll say go for it. That was my concern but so far it's been really smooth running on my device. I did delete Opera Mini5 and a theme so I could accommodate it and still have my most used apps and I have 15.5MB from free file space. Over all, I'm now pretty happy with FB1.7.

I've done a lot of housekeeping removing stuff off of my device that I didn't need that was taking up space. Good luck

Ok, but you have an 8130. As far as i know it eats less memory than my 8100. Is that true?
But its a good point nonetheless, I should do some housekeeping.

1.7 is working fine for me, working faster than 1.6 actually.

On another note I am running os 4.5.

doubt it, but i never keep those notifications around. the messages will still be on ur fb anways.

I love FB 1.7 way better then any previous version it allows you to change your profile pic, like status comments and other stuff you couldn't do before.

Yeah, same with me. Much better than 1.6, too.

Haven't tried it as yet but I see many users are much pleased with the upgrade from 1.6 to 1.7
