Just installed and it even worked when I tested it.
Maybe try deleting the version you have, then downloading it again. Also, if the app wasn't compatible with your phone/OS then it wouldn't even show up in AppWorld.
...yes it installed w/o a problem here, I'm still running the stock OS and it just asked me if I wanted to replace the free Shazam I'd already installed w/ this one. I did and it did!
It worked for me. I didn't have it installed before and it seems that may have been the problem. I did have to search for the app since it wasn't in the free section RIM made in App World.

I went to the link provided on the Crackberry post via my BB browser and it took me straight to the AppWorld page. Downloaded and installed without a hitch.
Downloaded right from App World, in the complimentary app section, and it works great. I am pretty excited to have this. One app that I would use quite a bit, and now the pay version is free? I am a pretty happy guy this morning.
got mine from bb app world. It says there are 2 free gifts, but once inside the thank you site, there are actually 3 of them. Downloaded it to my 9900 with wifi on/edge and it works smoothly...

+1
But after I downloaded it, then it showed up in the free section
Yeah I got it, but got rid of it immediately. I am curious...why do all of the apps require you to give them access to all of your personal data? IE, email address, contacts, pictures, movies, music. I noticed that they all say that. Shazam was the worst in that it would not let me launch it unless I agreed to let it access my personal info.
Posted about this in the app thread, but does anyone know of a program that is compatible with this Shazam Encore to serve as a substitute for 7digital to download music? It keeps saying 7Digital isn't compatible for the 9900 yet.
Downloaded it right off the bat and ran smoothly, even tried it out and works perfectly. Told my gf as well who downloaded it immediately right after and it works great on her 9780.
