I'm using the native Podcast of OS 6 and it seems to work great for me except for one issue. I can download NPR radio podcasts just fine. I have 6 older podcasts that I downloaded on my PC. I moved them to the Podcast folder on my Torch but it won't see them and display them as a podcast. I can see they are there via the Files explorer but they still won't show up with the Media Podcast app.
I even checked the file properties to make sure they are the same as the podcasts that do show up. Anyone have any ideas?
What I had to do was go into the podcast I had downloaded (through the app) and set it up so that I could also retrieve past podcasts. Hopefully the ones you had on your computer aren't so old that you can't re-download them through the podcast's archives within the native app.
