the current backlight timeout max. time is 2 min. are there any apps or hack out there that allow u to stay on longer than that? thx in advance.

I use "Leave it On". It's a couple of bucks, but VERY worth it. It controls the back-light and stays on depending on what program you have open (i.e.- my light stays on while Opera is running).

I purchased mine through Crackberry, but it may not be offered any longer in this app store.

Thx just got bblight and it worked great.

One question. If u set it active and "always on when" out of holster...does the backlight stays on indefinately until ur battery is dead?
