I dont need/use AIM so I deleted the app on my phone. 2 days ago the icon magically reappeared on my screen. I don't see the app in my app list so I don't know how to get rid of it. Can someone point me in the right direction as how to get rid of this thing?

go to the icon, select hide. it is not installed, that is the only way to get rid of it. once its hidden it will not bother you anymore

That is a pushed shortcut icon sent by your carrier. You can delete it, but it gets pushed back whenever you shut down, pull the battery, or refresh your service books.

It is a tiny file. Add a folder to the desktop, drag and drop your unwanted icons into it, then hide the folder. This unclutters your desktop, and if you ever need it, it's there.
