Nope. We're SOL.
If we don't, I'm probably going to upgrade to the Tour 2.
Otherwise, I'm keeping my 8330m.

haha if sprint keeps reading posts like yours they're never gunna release 5.0 for 8330m...they wanna make the moneys! haha.

Send Sprint an email, I did. After I called tech support they told me it was available. The transfered me to a RIM rep. Rim told me that Sprint does have the 5.0 for our phones as it was sent out some time ago and they choose when to release it.So I sent an email to sprint telling them this and to hurry up as their customers are waiting. Here was their response.

As of now, the Blackberry OS Version 5.0 is not available with the
Blackberry 8330 phone.

Once it is launched, you will see promotional campaigns related to the
launch date on our Web site. I appreciate your patience about this.

We will probably never see this for the 8330m. To me it sounds like a memory hog anyway and I already have chat style text with Empower sms app anyway. I dont need much more.

I recently installed blackberry os v5.0.0 for my curve 8330 from Sprint, what I dont understand is since I have a new os, why I keep seeing old icons from os 4.5 on my phone and the media player icon just vanished, now Im getting like 4 different folders, one of music another one with video an so on this is frustrating...another thing is that the themes are still the old dimension series from v4.5...yeah no prescicion themes like the bb curve 8530!!! Help please, some guidance...

You need to load the precision theme to use the newer ones... all of your issues are theme related. Look in theme forum for the 8330 5.0 and there is a link to load the theme..

So Sprint has 5.0 for us but won't release it? I read another post on here saying they called and asked why Boost has 5.0 but we don't and they said there is a network issue with the software. Sounds like utter BS. I wish us m users could at least get a hybrid. I would have thought the Boost 8330's would be m's but I guess not
