I loaded .148 on two different 9530's and before updating them the 'Gmail - New Mail' notification setting under 'Other' in Sound Profiles existed. Now in .148 it doesn't exist no matter what I do. Reloads of the App, Reboots of the phone, etc.
Is this a .148 bug or a Gmail App bug or bad luck?
No you are looking in the wrong place. Did you look in downloads?

I'm talking about Sound Profiles. On other versions there was a setting under 'Other' in Sound profiles to set Notification for new Gmail. It doesn't appear in .148 on the two phones i just updated.
Maybe the Gmail App needs to be updated. .148 is fairly new and remember updating the OS is changing the underlying foundation that all 3rd party apps rely on so the developers may just need a little time to catch up with the new OS settings/requirements.
tried that. no difference. Just curious, is anyone running the Gmail App on .148 and has Gmail listed under 'Other' in Sound Profiles?
Same here Adam. I'm running the BBCrackman .148/5.0.0.93 Hybrid & the Gmail sound profiles are missing for me too. Every time I get an email in my holster, it vibrates. Very annoying.
I'm on .148 and I still have the gmail new mail in sound profiles under 'other'. I upgraded from .113 and did not reinstall gmail app. Just was there after th upgrade.

So what does that mean. Half the people running .148 and Gmail App lost the Notification Option and the other half didn't.
Is there a way to initialize profiles? Does deleting an app and rebooting clean out all the app data completely? If not, how do you?
I think it's already been stated but the OS is made for the phone, not the app. If there is a problems with .148 and gmail app then it's up to gmail to fix it.
I don't use the gmail app but I do sync with gmail and I have had no problems running .148.

Amen.
Though, other people claim to have upgraded to .148 and not reload gmail; so it looks to me to be the way people are upgrading. Basically user error somewhere or different versions of the app. I don't use the gmail app so I can't offer any solutions but that's just my observations from reading this thread.
