Using Email Filters?

I've been playing with Email Filters on my BB, but I'm a little confused as there seems to be TWO places you can create filters:

1) From the Inbox, choose Options, then pick Email Filters

or

2) From Email Settings, choose your email account, then select Filters

What's the difference between the two?

I can get the Email Settings filters to work just fine. But filters created from the inbox options doesn't work for some reason.

Nor do the filters created in one method show up in the other, so they're apparently meant for different circumstances, but I just can't figure out what... ?

The filters under Inbox > Options > Email Filters are part of the Enhanced Gmail Plugin, and only work for Gmail accounts.

Thank you for the clairification. That helps tremendously.

I was really begining to wonder if the email filter functionality was broke, or if I was being a complete moron. It appears that the latter is the case, since I was attempting to configure things via the wrong UI...
