Update OS4 to OS5 help

Hi guys,

A noob-question, surely asked many times, but I can't find an exact answer.

I'm trying to update my 8900 to OS5, I deleted my vendor.xml, but when I try to upgrade, Loader tells me that I have to have a Blackberry subscription in order to do the upgrade.

Is there a simple work-a-round?

Also, are you wiping the phone with BBSAK before loading it?

I recommend backing up your data in DM, wiping the phone with BBSAK, and then loading the OS.

Yep, I wiped my phone with BBSAK, and now OS 5 installed fine. Thanks for the quick answers

i have installed BBSAK 1.8.5. It wont recognise my bb, even though connected and DM recognises it.
