SMS As A Thread, why

I have a 9650 and the SMS(text) are like threads. I hate it. I miss it the old way that when you sent a sms, it showed what time the person recieved it. Is there anyway to get the sms to go back that way?

Threaded SMS rocks. in OS5 you just need to go to each entry and it'll have the time sent/received at the top; this get changed in OS6?

I quite like threaded SMSs but there are times when I'd like to view descrete messages.

A choice of viewing styles would have been nice.

Google have just released this choice as an option for GMail after a lot of moaning by users. I surmise from this that love for threaded messaging is not universal.
