I am currently running 4.6.0.303 for O2 UK purely because it has the A+green dial button unlock feature.

I installed OS5.411 Bell update because I believe this is the last version before RIM scrapped it, but I was getting a horrendous amount of dropped calls.

I now can't install a lot of apps that I wanted, Berrybuzz and Berrypop etc.

I just cannot be dealing with using the mute button to unlock my BB, and the password work around is just as annoying.

Can anyone recommend me an OS5 that has this function but is better than .411. A Link would be greatly appreciated.

I use .411, And I haven't had any of these problems that you mentioned. Most blackberry's use the "Mute Button" on the top to lock it, If I recall, Even my old BlackBerry Curve 8320 did that too. You could always roll back down if you wanted too.
