QUESTION, why after updatin OS, apps options are not saved?

HI all, after upgrading my OS to 5.0 1049 to my BOLD all my apps options and setting were not saved, I have to re set every app options again, for some of them is very easy, but for BerryBUZZ is very annoying as I had so many different led for each email and txts and etc etc.
Anyone have a solution?

Since you didn't clarify, I'm assuming you're updating the entire OS from 4.x rather than just going from, say 5.975 to 5.1049. Others might correct me on this, but I'm pretty sure you have to reset all your 3rd party app options after an update since the phone has essentially re-installed all your apps on top of the new OS update, so the apps are being installed as if they're newly downloaded.

I haven't heard of any way around the problem. In fact, I've actually seen complaints about people sometimes losing their apps altogether after an update and not being able to download and/or reinstall them without having to pay for them again, so I guess folks are OK with having to reset the options versus losing them totally.

For better answers than what I've give you here, you might want to post your question in the ongoing thread in the 9650 Bold section called "Essex Post Release Ramblings" (or something like that) which seems to be continuous open chat among various users. I know there are LOTS of folks in that thread who change, experiment with and update their systems very often, so if anyone would have some tips for you it would be the experts over there.
