But there its a setting in the phone that is in the options advance setting wireless update, there is none right now but cant i just update through there??? Also if i have to backup my stuff on my computer when i plug my phone into my computer it doesnt work anyway. im very confused.

Do you have Desktop manager installed on your computer? If so, plug your phone into the USB and wait for DM to detect your phone. After it does there is a backup/restore section. Go in there to backup your data.

I can't help with the wireless update. I've never used that.

I expanded your title a bit. It's always better to give a brief discription of the question in the title so people can help you better. YES you can use the wireless update option on your phone, IF your carrier decides to roll out an update that way. NOT all carriers choose to do this. If you use DM, you have much more control over the update and you gain the ability to update using OSs from other carriers are leaked OSs. Which you might not want to do anyways. BUT to answer your question. Yes you can use the wireless update, IF your carrier release updates that way.

I don't know which OS you are planning to upgrade (I am considering os 5 since you posted in this forum). Well, there are many ways to upgrade an OS.

I have 2 simple guides you can follow at my signature (bottom) which can help you upgrade the os without much hassle if you need any assistance.

Good luck!
