Default Os5.0.0.1036

Downloaded it yesterday, and it seems snappier. Memory is a little better, and battery life was good overnight(have to wait on that for a few more days). Browser seems a little bit quicker. I've never had any of those sound issues with the previous OS's, and this new one is also good. I'll post again in a few days with more results.

Anyone have word if Slingplayer is running any better on these new releases? Anything current has had a lot of issues, I will try 1036 this week when I get time since my 9k is now a backup.

Just updated, only minor issue was my menu page background was white. This was the first time I have ever not had to turn my theme back on. Rest back to ATT theme, then back to my theme and all appears well

Hmmm just noticed that the theme on my menu page is not correct as far as background, but no issue.

Running this on my blackberry since earlier this morning. So far so good. I'm hoping this fixes the ringtone issue with the previous version.

Hmmm just did a reboot to see what the battery would do and appears that the large drain on reboot may be gone.

BUT my menu screen returned to white again, Crude!

FIXED it, did a theme reset and all is well. Looks good so far.

I've never had a problem with sound issues or any other issues when installing new OS's. Since the BB9000 came out, i've upgraded every new OS that came out. Only the first time did i get the "white screen of death", and with help from someone in the forums it worked out fine. I use an old DM(4.6) for everything except apps. For apps i back them up with BBSAK, then hit "restore" and i'm good to go. I never wipe the phone because the apploader does it for me. Maybe i'm just lucky(I am Irish).

After 12 hours of very heavy usage and stuff I've noticed compared to the Rogers .900:

-Browser way faster an previous builds, very happy with this!

-12 hours of heavy usage (almost my whole day) down to 50% which is awesome

-Reboot time is a bit slower than .900 (which was the fastest time IMO) but its all good

-Wi-FI connects really fast

-Fewest amount of video video buffers in other words videos stream smoothly i.e. YouTube

-Funny thing I've noticed right away, volume "rocker popup" looks messed up but its all good as long as it gets the job done

-19 3rd party apps and 9 native apps down to 20MB after a battery pull (gained 5MB) and after 12 hours down to 14MB (don't know how much memory before apps installed because apps restored while update was in progress)

-Performance is very fast/snappy, so i'm very satisfied with that

-Cant comment on the sound issue because i'm on vibrate all the time

Overall super happy with this leak, nothing bad to say about it and will keep u guys updated of course as I notice any new things. Oh yeah and definitely would recommend it!

Slingplayer works fine with this leak. I was stuck on .610 cause all other OS didn;t work with slingplayer.
