OS 6 For Storm 9530

So all the rumors I've been reading about OS 6 have stated that OS 6 will be available for a bunch of BBs except the 9530.
I was talking to a Bell rep yesterday that said OS 6 can run on any BB that has 256 M of memory which does include the 9530.
I really hope that the 9530 will get the new OS 6. And if it doesn't I will be very bitter!!!
It looks SOOO cool compared to 5.0.

What do you Crackusers think?

from what i hear it can be run on storms but the reason they stopped is because of its terrible performance. The list of phones that will get the OS did not even incluce the 9950 so the 9530 wont get it

The phones with 256mb of memory that are getting it are trackpad devices that take up less of that 256, the touch screen requires more of it

This news seriously saddens me. lol.
Well, I've been thinking about getting the 9550, but now I hear some rumors of a Storm 3 getting released.

RIM said yesterday 9700, 9650, 9100. There was no way 9530 was ever going to get OS6. The OS runs at about 280MB for touch devices, 180 for non-touch.

i hate to break it to ya, but the storm 9500/9530 (storm1) only has 128Mb RAM, so never gonna happen.

also as plkcable stated the size difference in OS for touch and non touch is the reason the 9700 and 91xx can have it but 9520/9550 (storm2) cant.
