I'm on Rogers. I removed the vendor.xml and installed it with Loader.

All apps work fine, including Garmin Mobile for Blackberry. Garmin Mobile was much faster to gain my position than with 4.6OS'.

I'll know tomorrow about battery life.

So far, so good.

I'm definitely waiting for the ATT release or the new Dakota whichever comes first!!! Wonder which one that will be!

I don't mind tinkering and I wasn't complaining, just making an observation. I just can't recall ever having to modify any previous official releases to make them work properly, that's all.

it will be the exact same software, unless RIM leaks a higher one first.
Why wait?
I have been using it for over a month and it rocks!!!

Are there still the sms bugs? For those of you on Rogers that is (even though I'm not sure that makes a difference)

where does this mentality come from? can someone tell me? i mean you're certainly entitled to do whatever you want to your phone, but i had an att bold for a year, and their 'official' os's were the worst of the bunch, the only time i ever kept one was when i first bought it. this .411 build has been out over a month, and is probably the best reviewed OS ever to appear for the bold, so what exactly sparks you to turn a shoulder to it?

I only used one AT&T official OS. Otherwise I've used Vodafone, Rogers, and now this Bell OS. There is no reason to worry about using another carrier's OS. If AT&T releases a better 5.0, I'll jump on it. Otherwise, I'll use another carrier's version.

After install, if you have an unlocked ATT on TM your TCP will go back to cingular.com:

re-set your TCP APN settings by going to: Options>Advanced Options>TCP. APN should say wap.voicestream.com Nothing under user name or password.

I upgraded from the leaked .411 to this and I am very happy to say that after applying the browser fix I no longer get the media error like I did on the older build. Visual Voicemail works fine and battery life seems the same. I love it. The new OS is soo much better.

Shazam is not working after the update, everything else is great so for. My 3G is faster than before. People should really take the time and look at the different options available before jumping in here and start to cry about missing things when in reality they are there just with a different option to set it.
