Default New Torch - wipe the existing OS?

I'm upgrading from my 9700 Bold to the Torch and got one in Friday. Just charging it.

Curious, is it best to wipe the Torch and load the most recent OS? I recall with my Bold it was super slow on start up until I wiped the OS clean and started fresh.

Was curious if these puppies were somewhat similar to computers/laptops in that there was a lot of "uneeded" cr*p preinstalled on them.

Thx

Well I dnt think its really necessary , coz it doesn't come with lot of crap pre-installed . Ya it does come with couple of apps like Facebook, twitter etc. I dnt think they'll slow the device down unless u sign in and they run in background .
I agree, when it comes to a laptop , they load lot of BS that r running on background but do nothing for us
But in the end u can go ahead and wipe it coz u dnt lose anything important

It is almost NEVER necessary to wipe the OS before installing a new one. More often
than not (99% of the time) it is a complete and abject waste of time.

This is comforting to hear. Looks like I've been doing things right the whole time.
