Mac + OS5 on 9000

Hey, I just gave my girlfriend my Torch and got a Bold 9000 because I love the keyboard. It still has 4.6 on it and I have a Mac. Is there any way to update it to a stable build of 5.0 without a PC? It does not show any updates are available in the phone settings.I know there is a Mac forum but there is no good info in there.

i actually had the same problem too, but unfortunately there is not way of doing as there is on a windows. i tried it and it said that there was no space on my bold to update it and i actually had plenty space for it.

So I borrowed my Dad's slow-***, 6 year old PC and after an hour and a half I got OS 5 on my Bold. Man does that OS make this phone incredible.
