Default Just upgraded - Shrink OS ?

So after being like 90% sure that .822 is the latest for Bold 9000 (it is, isn't it?) and picking a hybrid (you think BDHP is better than willy? Because I chose BDHP). I upgraded.

Question: I've read something about shrinking an OS but I'm not sure on how to do that or what does that mean ? Can I do it after I already upgraded and installed hybrid ?!

take a read through that, it should answer all your questions.

And i dont like hybrids, always have had memory leaks and performance issues.

I agree with Fubaz. And if you are comfortable with deleting .cod files after installing an Official OS ( cod files are in > c:\program files\common files\research in motion\shared\...\java, have a look at this > http://forums.crackberry.com/f2/remo...0/#post5108740

I've managed to go from 99MB Free Application Memory to 128MB on an 8900. I also Managed to get 142.6MB Free off of my Bold 9700

I've shrunk the OS first and then deleted the other not needed .cod files from the given link.

Warning: Do at your own risk
