Default Help Regarding OS for Blackberry Bold 9700

Bacially, New to the blackberry world, and having had an iphone from day 1 and now and iphone 4 i decided i wanted a change, and it seems to be paying off.

I bought a second hand blackberry bold 9700 which is unlocked, but has Orange carrier OS on it. And i'm with o2,

basically what i want to know is, can i completely remove the Orange blackberry OS and install a Non branded version of the Blackberry OS or can i install an o2 Blackberrry OS for the phone? If so how do i go about getting the OS and then installing?

Thanks
Howe

Hi Howe, congrats on the 9700 and welcome to CrackBerry

It's not the OS that's branded/unbranded, it's the phone itself and that can't be changed.

You can load any 9700 OS from any network provider on your phone, but it will never remove the original Orange branding (boot-up screen) which is hard coded into the device.
