Default Guys can you help me put?

Mods this is my first post so, my apologies in advance if this is in the wrong spot.

I currently have a phone with one of the providers. I am not impressed but, that isn't why I am here.

MY BB is [b][/b][b][/b][b][/b][b][/b]ED. The pearl flip is a ******* disaster. The ball will not move, the system crashes like ******* crazy, it stalls, my internet doesn't work, and a ton of other **** goes wrong.

So, I contacted my provider about this issue. I am on a ******* 3 yr contract. My phone is no [b][/b][b][/b][b][/b][b][/b]ed. My provider pretty much said your warranty is up,
**** you!" I guess, you got to read every bit of your contract. I assumed a 3yr contract would give me a 3yr warranty. That only seems fair. Any way, they gave me a choice:

BB BOLD or BB Curve but, they want 279$ & 300$ for each. Now, the other alternative is to go to a store a find a phone that is cheaper and or better. If I am paying 300$, what about a bit extra in which case, I can buy the torch?

If you guys were in my [b][/b][b][/b][b][/b][b][/b]ty situation, what would you do? I know there is kjkj, amazon, ebay, etc but, I don't want to go through the troubles there. I was hoping friends may have a black berry I could purchase or wanting to unload. 1st Generation issues of the Torch are likely I am only assuming. If I purchase this through my provider, I am going to go crazy, and ask for the world on a silver platter if I buy another phone from them.


Little help guys. I am actually going to be flying into the Toronto area. I hear Pacific mall is a good place to checkout. I heard some others. Any advise is helpful. Thanks!

well unfortunately when u purchase a phone regardless of the length of your contract, there is only a 1 year manufacture warranty. which i happen to think is pretty gay as well.........i had the same problem with my tour thru sprint. i just paid the full price and moved on. i know it sux to have to pay the retail price but in the long run bro it may be the best option. believe me. i didnt wanna give sprint the satisfaction either. but for me pay 400 for the 9650 was the best thing ive done yet. so if u got the money to toss away, i would say go for it. or maybe they'll let you dump your contract and go with another provider?

Man, it is outrageous. Basically, they gave me an offer. I can buy the curve or the bold. If i had it my way, I would buy the torch. I may checkout this store I know. They got bb refurbished phones. I could get a cheap for prob about 100$. Nothing special but, warranty for prob about a year just go get me by till something I want comes along. Its not cool. I hear they have extended warranties you can purchase but, this is complete horse ****. WTF? A 3yr plan. The worst part about it was that, I was having issues and nobody could help me out late at night. I work night shifts. I should have dealt with it sooner. Go figure, I got burned. The way I see it, if I do as you mentioned and buy out a new phone, I am seriously going to be on the phone the sec the thing makes a stupid noise or I get **** service or my bbm goes down. "I WANT A ******* CREDIT YOU **** [provider]!" Not sure which they offered me. I know its the curve and something else. I think it was the 9700 & the 9300. I am assuming, its always better to buy the newest bb out but, not 1st generation. Like, I want the torch but, I would wait for the 2nd generation for all the kinks to be worked out. If you got more advise, or anyone else does, I am all ears.

So right now, I can get a bold, a curve or can cheap out and get a 8100 refurbished but, warrantied pearl. I might go that root less I think of something out. I am trying to get my career going, college/uni cost money, and its right around christmas. Not ******* cool.
