End of the road for OS 5 ?

It has been months since the last OS 5 official releases. And I dont remember any leaks since the beginning of the year.

So rather than keep being on the lookout for updates, its safe to say that OS 5 devices have seen the last of their updates ,am i right?

Maybe one more update, besides that, probably nothing.
Since OS6 is already loaded onto most devices being sold now.

Obsolescence does come, eventually. Why would a company waste resources to continue developing for devices that are out of production, or upgraded from a certain point?

I praying for one more update to fix the Bedside Clock Display on my Storm2 that got hosed with the .1015 update. Been using Musical Clock since this happened.

I know there's a hack fix for this but I'm not a hack person.

Check the Storm 2 forums, there was a OS update rolled out yesterday (not Verizon) and those that have installed it have noted the bedside mode bug is gone. Someone also reported OpenGL is fixed.

Wow they cared to give S2 an update.
Come on, one last hurrah for the 8520 before I get the 9900! Didn't really appreciate my 9700 until I lost it. Been stuck with 8520's almost Android-like battery life for bloody half a year and the choices of hybrid OSes have dried up
