Core App Issues - Aghh!!
I broke my Storm2 9550 and just received the replacement phone today (identical model). All was well until I discovered EVERYTHING is installed as a Core app -- even Tetris, Word Mole, and Brickbreaker! The lists for "Add-On" and "Third Party" are empty -- the place most of this stuff should be!
I want to delete, or at least uninstall, the games and the other stuff I won't use, like CityID and VZNavigator, but I cannot find a way to uninstall any of them, possibly because they are under the "core applications" list. There is no delete option when I press the menu key and the same goes for the modules, can't delete them either.
WHY on EARTH are they all under the core apps??
So frustrating!!
Anyone else have this problem? And how do I delete items listed under core apps?
UPDATE: It looks like I can delete them using Desktop Manager software -- only the vital apps are listed as "required", the rest have the option to remove them. I haven't completed the process but it looks promising so far. UPDATE: Problem resolved. I was able to uninstall the unwanted program via Desktop Manager. Then a new software update came out for my phone and once I installed the update everything was back to normal -- games/apps are under the correct lists. I have no idea why they were every listed as core apps, but it's fixed now.
