Can't view messages in Personal Folders on BlackBerry from BES

Not sure if this is the correct forum in which to post this question, so if not I apologize (maybe Moderator could move to the correct location if need be).

I have an 8900 Curve that was my own personal BB, on which I was using BIS for email. My company has "converted" the phone for me from BIS to now a corporate phone syncing with BES instead.

In Outlook 2007, I have some rules set up to move certain messages as they arrive into Personal folders in my profile, which work fine. If I look at the folders on my BB, I see all the Personal Folders that I have created, however none of the messages currently in those folders in Outlook appear in the folders on my BB, and new email messages that arrive and should be routed to those folders appear at all on the device.

My BES admins are not familiar with how to enable this on my device (yes, I know, I know) so after 24 hours it's still not working. If someone here has experience with this and could guide me (so I can guide my admins) on where this needs to be configured/set, I'd be very grateful. Not sure which version of BES they're using, but I imagine 5.x.
