Okay, aside from my third party apps, everything looks okay except my BBMaps is gone. It's not there. It's not hidden. Any ideas?

sorry to be obvious, but are you sure you loaded it to the phone?

Not a dumb question. I actually did.

However, after running the phone for 2 hours, my memory dropped like a hot rock. A quick reboot and it did it again. Only apps installed were Facebook and Bolt Browser.

So, as much as I liked the new look, I wasn't willing to deal with the memory loss. Back to 4.5 (for now).

i found that when i was running the straight 5.0.0.438 from Boost that my device memory would level out after about two days of running, and two or three battery pulls.

i hate to see someone say they actually WANT to go back to 4.5. why not try our 5.0 hybrid over at Nathanix.com?

I run the latest version we have built, and my memory holds relatively steady at around 20mb.

Oh, I definitely didn't want to go back. I just couldn't deal with the memory loss. I will try out the new hybrid this weekend (or if I get snowed it, maybe tomorrow).

Thanks for the heads up.

Question Which .cod's to delete?

I'm sorry to double-post, as I left this in the 8330 forum too. I have a little urgency to get an answer...

Can someone provide a fairly good list of cod's to delete, please?
It would be awesome to have a list of the cod file with a description of what it is, so one could properly decide.

I have the accursed memory leak too after upgrading the wife's 8330, and wanted to see if I could patch it myself. It reboots at ~15.5mb and drops down to 5 within 8 hours, give or take. It has frequently gone down to zero or close.

I have already removed the 4 or 5 Dimension Theme cod's and installed the Precision version. (My thanks to Nathanix!)

I also deleted a few Add-On apps from the device just from the Applications list, such as BB Maps, Application Center, and one more I can't remember.
Are there other cod's associated with these I can hunt down and delete too? Is deleting these on-device the same as having deleted the cod with BBSAK would have been?

check out the latest nathanix.com hybrid:
Nathanix Blackberry Resource • View topic - Nathanix 8330 5.0.0.438 Hybrid V3 RELEASED!

we have been able to get a handle on the stock boost mobile memory leak, and have shrunk the install down to a managable size.

note to, that even though our build has little or no memory leak, running older 4.5 os settings and options does have an effect on the memory leak. it is advisable when upgrading to 5.0 from 4.5 that you only restore your contacts, memos, calendar entrys, etc. for best results.

all of the install instructions are there in the forums.
