Is the 8330 even offered yet by Boost? I went to their site and it still says coming soon??? I'd love to have an official release...

No, the only thing that I have done since I got the phone was to put in my contacts and I downloaded Opera Mini. Then I did the update from the Blackberry Desktop Manager. Thats It.

Please remember I have very little experience with "smart Phones". This is my first. I am learning quickly but some phone terminology is still a bit foreign to me. I have been around mobile phones since about 1991 where my first phone was a Motorola Brick Phone. But all I have ever really cared about was basic communication. I am really enjoying the extra connectivity and tools/apps available. Kind of a new toy to me.

You can't shrink the OS until its released as a downloadable file. Right now DM is downloading the update for you.

Does DM download it to a foilder on the hard drive? If so, one with boost can downgrade to 4.5, plug into DM, and the save and upload the newly downloaded 5.0. Don't think its possible though.
