Default BlackBerry Maps Missing and Cannot Delete Modules (No option)

I just got my 9300 yesterday. I used BlackBerry Maps for a while but it disappeared by itself after a couple hours. It was still listed as installed but it wasn't in any folder or hidden. I re-installed multiple times, deleted it multiple times, did hard reboot, etc. No success on getting BlackBerry Maps to show up.

I even called Virgin and made sure that they are not blocking the application. They are not. Virgin told me that there might be residual properties left over that might be confusing the phone (modules). So now I'm trying to delete the BB Maps modules but when I go them there is NO OPTION to delete them. I even wiped the phone but the modules still remain.

Is there a way to force delete these modules?

Does anyone know a solution to getting BlackBerry Maps to work? Virgin seems clueless and I've searched Google to no avail. It seems it's a common problem but there has been o solution.

Thanks a million.

Update: I deleted the Maps modules with javaloader.exe. Reinstalled BB maps. Still doesn't show up.

Interestingly, there isn't a Maps section in my Advanced Options either.

I fixed this by downloading the latest version of the phone software on my computer and then updating my phone with Desktop Manager. I was then able to add BlackBerry Maps back to my phone with Desktop Manager. So much frustration and now it's fixed. Phew.

When all else fails, wipe the OS and reload fixes just about anything. Like you found out. Glad you got it back up and running.
