Default Better touchscreen because of .214?

I'm not sure if it's just me, but the touchscreen keyboard feels infinitly better with this update! I used to HATE using anything but the physical keyboard for typing. Now that I'm using .214, its way more accurate and responsive!

those are the two best adjectives to describe the beta OS- entire phone, including the touch screen, is much more accurate and responsive.

No one knows. It might not even be .214 that goes official. It might be a later build.

Why does it take carriers so long to make something "official"?

Yes, even if there are bugs with .214 they all should upgrade them to official because it really is way better than 161 or 141. I bet some of the people who returned their Torch because of OS issues would have kept it if it had 214 on it instead. Its that much better.

Just upgraded tonight and +1 to the OP's post. My touch keyboard is way better and so is everything else. It's like having a whole different 9800.

So far very impressed with this release.

I've upgraded from .141 and all i can say is awesome. The entire phone seems to run alot smoother and BIS is running without any issues. The only quirk i found so far is when i delete a calendar item it stays as one of the 3 current items being displayed. I had to pull battery for it to disappear. Anyone else experience this yet?

Since upgrading to .214 I have had nothing but an improved experience with my Torch. Navigating, using the touchscreen and keypad are two huge noticeable improvements. Not only that, but since this is my first OS upgrade on 6, the entire process of upgrading was smoother and faster than ever before. My last OS 5 upgrade on my Bold was pretty smooth and quick, but this was literally cutting the time in half. The longest wait is the device initialization prior to restoring data (probably a 2-3 minute wait) but overall, a massive improvment in this area. Simply loving this device!

20-30 minutes if you know what you're doing.
