BBM 7

Anyone else disappointed that BBM 7 wasn't rolled out for OS 5 today? I have OS 6, but my GF has an older Curve on OS 5 and we were really looking forward to this feature...

as far as i know bbm7 will be for os5 also

Thanks OP for starting this thread as I was about to start one myself. I am quite peeved to say the least. I have two devices on OS5, a Curve 8330 and a 9550 Storm 2 and all my BBM buddies are posting about how grest v.7 is!

And we know that it WILL be coming. The OP was wondering if anyone else was annoyed that it hasn't come TODAY when everyone else got their updates. OS5 users get the shaft again, I guess. :banghead:

Wasn't one of the earlier beta's supporting OS5?

Also they claim it will come for OS5 but not holding my breath...

I believe it was. I have no computer so I had no access to it. Apparently the common knowledge is that it will be coming to OS5, but will not bring the Voice function along with it. :banghead:

I'm updating to OS6, but not for this reason. but it's true, there's no BBM Voice for OS5 as of yet.

I wish there was a way to install 7.0.0.101 which appears to be last version that supported OS 5... but you need a keycode...

Bummed over BBM7. When I go to launch I'm getting an error message that says my "IT administration does not support BBM 7.0"

It will support BBM Voice otherwise they would have just released it.
I read its coming early next year which is a shame.

Hopefully they release a Beta for it

So i can access it early.

They did have a beta for OS 5 but it didn't include BBM Voice, and they only released one version.

Have to wait and see.
Shame really.

Having OS 5 seems to suck.
I happened to update my bmm 6 to bbm 7 but it obviously did not work as my phone uses OS 5. The bbm icon disappeared. I managed to get it back but it is now version 5.0.
Is there any way for me to upgrade my bbm to 6? App world is only showing me bbm 7.

Hey Shilpa m facing the exact same problem like you.. Even i tried to upgrade to version 7 but bbm icon dissapeared...so i reinstalled verion 5 but now it is not showing any upgrade for bbm.

There is no BBM7 for os5(confirmed with rim) unless you use 7.0.0.100/101. Which is a beta version. I had os5 on my 9700, and can confirm that there was no BBM voice for os5. Just cloud sync for contacts.

If you check Blackberry Beta Zone, there is a beta of BBM 7 for OS 5 that is available (version 7.0.0.130). There are reports of problems with it for the 8820 Curve, but other devices running OS 5 seem to have had positive results.
