App World Online Issues and BB Bridge

Hey Everyone. I hope someone can help me out with this issue.
I have a BB 9630 and no wifi. I'm also on a social plan, so don't have access to appworld via my phone.
I also have a new Playbook. My current OS is 5.0 and running a version of Bbm 5.0. I need to get the BBM upgraded to the newer bbm in order to use it with bb bridge.
I've been trying to download it from appworld via the computer but app world is defaulting to my playbook, and not my phone. I change the device, but nothing happens.
I used to be able to switch, but then had a wep plugin error when I tried to download something.
Is there a way I can get bbm 6.0 downloaded to my phone from my computer without going through appworld? Does anyone have the alx/cod/jar files that I would need to simply load it without a dataplan? Or does anyone know how I can access the downloads via the web plugin? I know it worked before...
