9700 upgrade too 5.0.0.979 - restore didn't bring back everything - help!

I just upgraded to OS .979 today, there was an error during the initial upgrade and I closed down like it stated and continued with the upgrade. My phone was upgraded, but it lost everything I had on the phone, e-mails, apps, tasks, files (except saved files). I then ran a restore from 4 days ago and it loaded my e-mails but my applications, tasks, to do list, etc. are still not showing up. How do I get this back?
There are some e-mails I've gotten since then that I want to be on my phone w/o having to send it to another email address to show up - how can I do this?
