With the Note 7 and now Pixel hardware fiascos, along with the typical software bugs that come with many new phones, will you buy the Mercury on release day/week, or will you have a wait-and-see approach? Me, personally.. I don't mind being an early adopter, provided reviews are decent.

I would hesitate if:

1. Software bugs are major (random power-downs, etc)
2. Speakers/call quality/cellular signal is horrible
3. Touch latency is high (See: One Plus 3T, everything Samsung has ever released)

I just want my phones to perform speedily and run all the stock apps, as well as social media apps, well. Obviously the signal and call quality are important, and I'd really prefer decent speakers for watching youtube videos and random shared videos on FB. What kinds of things are important to you?

I think most that are in a position to upgrade, and are big fans of a PKB phone, and aren't still waiting for a BB10 phone..... will jump on it. If there are issues, that's what the return process is for.

Im an early adopter, have had issues with both Note7 and Pixel, but pixel was nothing major.

Issues have been reported by Pocket Now and others (Reddit forums are also full of validations to the following problems by owners/users): cameras having a variety of issues, speakers clipping sounds, units freezing up and the hardware buttons stop working as well, XL variant overheats in VR.

If the phone comes to Verizon, I will wait until the warranty of my Priv expires before looking at mercury to see TCL's release cycle for the phone will be.

I had pre ordered the Note 7 and went through that fiasco but ended up with a S7 Edge that is "ok" but anxious to get back to a PKB device. I had the Priv and couldn't deal with the form factor especially at the price I paid at launch so this will hopefully bring back to my Bold days but with Android. And for me 625 or whatever SoC they out in will be fine, I rather conserve battery than be the fastest phone out there.
