They should call it the BlackBerry Messenger. Just like the app.

It's all about the keyboard and communicating.

How long before BlackBerry becomes DTEK? ;P
Other way round I think- Blackberry remains the profitable entreprise software/ solutions company, DTEK is spun off as a purveyor of eccentric, unpopular phones.

Might sound tacky/corny, but maybe something along the lines of "BlackBerry Legacy" ??
    I rather like that.

So if DTEK becomes the brand, how about ditching the numbers and calling it a DTEK Legacy?

If it's an in house device, which it seems to be, it should be called something different. Leave the DTEK naming convention for the outsource phones.

But I'm sure for the sake on marketing/branding it will be the DTEK something.
I agree with this logic of in versus out sourced naming.

Sadly, I was hoping their last official in house device would still be BB10 even if it's 10.3.2 or 10.3.3 just keep it BB10 before forcing us BlackBerry loyals to be BlackBerry Android.

The news of 10.3.3 for governments should've influenced them to make last in house a BB10 device. But I'm dreaming. I've loved all of my BlackBerry devices even before BB10. I just don't want the Android OS.

The DTEK name isn't a name I want for my BlackBerry device until I have to jump to BlackBerry Android. But if it's DTEK70, I wouldn't be mad.

Agree, specs-wise it would make perfect sense to place it between the 50 and 60.

I'd say Bold SE? It looks like it'll be like a tall silver edition passport with a bold keyboard. The Bold name would bring back those good BlackBerry vibes. Bold sounds better than DTEK or Priv imo.

i think the DTEK line of naming is nice since it shows off their App. But i would prefer a different name. I know Blackberry isn't the greatest at names but it would be fine for their last 'in house' device to have a nice name.

Call it BlackBerry Keys (short for keyboard) and sign a deal with dj kahlid and Jay z to use there song "I got the keys" for the commercial an promotional purposes. Lol 😂
And maybe Alicia could be the brand ambassador.

    ...I like the name, though.

I also think bringing back the name "Bold" is their best way of marketing it.
