How would the swipe up gesture work while in app then? I believe it has to begin with the home icon...

This is the first time I've seen any info on the Mercury and I just have to say DAMN, that is a fine looking phone. My dream would be a Passport 2 with android since it would have better support, but if it's never going to happen then the Mercury is the next, best thing! 😍

The Mercury will be just like the Asus zenphone 3 but with the pkb. It will be made by asus or foxxconn.

Can't. That's reserved for Google Now and cannot be changed by OEMs.

The Asus zenfone 3 has dedicated screen navigation buttons. I doubt that the Mercury can afford to spare that much real estate considering the space needed for the keyboard and 4.5 inch screen. I expect the buttons will be on screen to keep the overall length to a minimum.

curved screen is a waste, doesn't do anything other than add cost, they would want to keep it simple since this will be a phone for the corporate masses

Probably wrong. (Camera) it's just a 'estimate' just like the DTEK50 front camera said 7mp on GfxBench, yet it has a 8mp.

    Screen I think is (1080 x 1440) (4:3) (not sure)

I thought the same thing about the camera. Too early to really tell. I think that screen resolution was mentioned somewhere else as well, so looking like it could be right.

Well it might be saying 7 because it is something 7.7889 might be rounding it. Makes sense with 11 MP too.
    Check out S7.

Also I think that even if It doesn't that has no effect on the Mercury since it will be probably be designed in house. And they already have the technology for it. It probably wouldn't be that expensive.

I'm sorry to disturb your confidence but that's not quite true. You CAN change the assistant app.
