Getting excited about the Mercury just like everyone else. Currently using a Priv and a 9900.

All other issues / specs etc. Already discussed aside, Im really hoping that this device will offer that nostalgic feeling and classic beauty look and feel the bold 9900 did. Hope its an equal or better eye candy. That 4sec video really did make it seem like eye candy so my hopes are high now.

Im wondering how many others are hoping for a similar looking / feeling device.

    Cheers crack heads lol

I personally really liked the look and feel of the Classic so if they build on that I'd be happy. This feels almost like a Classic/Passport hybrid so I think people will be satisfied.

If you have the Priv, what do you use the 9900 for? Just curious.

The 9900 is just too quick for texting and phone calls

It looks like they have made the frets as shiny as they were on the 9900. If you hold a 9900 and classic next to each other you will notice the 9900 has a lot more shine on both the plastic and metal components. Looks like theyre bringing part of that back with the mercury.

I am hoping for a nostalgic feeling as well. I think it will have it.

The real question I have is: how is your 9900 holding up after all these years? Is the browser still serviceable if you need to use it?

The 9900 still working like it always has. No hickups. Basic aps like texting and phone app and fb all open up faster on my 9900 than they do on the priv. The browser is okay. Its good for googeliing quick questions but not the best for opening big websites. All the apps work great though very fluid. Havent done a battery pull in months and that was only when I unistalled a program.
