My feelings about the design aesthetic of the "Mercury" are quite positive. It has my interest. Colour for me is important. A choice of cobalt blue, like the Classic, would make me ravenous for this phone.

I know there are hardcore pockets of red and white BlackBerry users out there. Anyone else hoping for colour variants?

Color variants would be nice of course. I think first and foremost though, the device should be blacked out, like a true BlackBerry device would be.

Not gonna happen. Be realistic, that requires a lot of extra money and overhead to sell multiple colors. iPhones and Samsung Galaxies only come in a couple colors (usually). Notice how the iPhone 5c was relatively quickly discontinued.

The Mercury needs marketing. It needs a guy like steve Jobs who tells you that we need the Mercury. And tells you that it is perfect as it is. And then you believe him. And you will stop crying for your personal wishes.
