So much better. I wonder why they make Mercury like Passport SE, too urgly in the top & it doesn't make an sense with the rest.
I like the design of Passport Black and i'm typing this comment with it

Very interesting. This image looks like a photograph of an engineering drawing with an approval stamp on it.

I guess BlackBerry found a factory in China to build the device.

I doubt they'd make such a great device from the front look so bad from the back, lol

Sweet! Clearly an R&D drawing with a BOM (bill of materials) on the side. Would be sweet to see that list that might give some more details about parts used. I love the back!

Yeah, I didn't really expect anything from the camera, but this looks like it could be amazing (and hopefully wide angle)!!

I really really hope this thing will be released in the coming weeks.

Couple this wrong with that photo. (in my opinion)

For example, you can see antenna lines on the side of the device (when looking at the front picture) but when you look at the side view, there is nothing there.

If you're so eager to fit in with the "cool" crowd then just get a rectangle slab of glass like everyone else, why do you care if BB makes a keyboard phone? Does it harm you in some way? Or are you yet another one of these short-sighted people who somehow think that having options in the market is a bad thing for consumers??

Hopefully not too wide angle to where there is distortion though, because I absolutely hate that...

I am actually dreading the world of tomorrow. Who knows what the future has in store for us. Maybe cars will all touch steering wheels. It will come to a point where if you touch something inadvertently around the house, you will be issuing a command. If you say something outloud the "ok google"'s prying ears of tomorrow will execute something.
Maybe I am a luddite but I still prefer pushing something physically to touching.

I think the virtual navigation bar would be great if it was task specific. Navigation when needed, word predictions when typing, and maybe call functions when on the phone.

So many people equate change with progress. They're obviously not the same thing, but it seems almost impossible to fight the "newer is always better" crowd these days. I guess when Apple brings back the keyboard, like the stylus and the headphone dongle, it'll be cool, and typing on glass will be "so yesterday."

People clinging to their Bolds and Classics, not being able to acclimate themselves to a glass slab device. Just a guess of course.
The convenience of keys is universal.

A screen can be any size, as long as there are buttons at comfortable reach to the thumb, then that convenience is the same for anyone with a human hand.

They would also not have to first glance the screen before acting with their finger.

It is a visual distraction, but you don't consciously recognise it as such.

Looks awesome. Of course it is as photoshop unfortunately.

I am positive, though, that it will have mediocre last-gen specs and a current-gen upper tier price tag. Blackberry are total morons when it comes to pricing their devices for widespread market penetration.

Would buy it, but if current BB device prices are any indication, better off waiting until it's 1/3 of the price.

Sticking with my Oneplus 3T while BB gets their **** together.

I see three antenna breaks on both sides, but due to the differences in the how the front and back sides meet the edge of the frame, the breaks are not as obvious on the back side.

While anything like this can be faked, there is a lot of detail in this drawing that is not consistent with a typical fan render and is consistent with a real engineering drawing.
