Hello everyone! Keeping with the tradition of BlackBerry 10 phones being launched in India at prices which are widely denounced by the Indian population on CB every time, I am starting this thread well in advance of the Leap launch. That will allow the hate messages and general disappointment to be spread out over a period of many weeks and might even help mentally prepare some potential customers to buy leading upto the launch!

[This is supposed to be a light-hearted jab at both BlackBerry's consistent overpricing and the Indian market's extreme sensitivity to those prices. No offence meant to anyone.]

My guess is that the launch price will be around ₹19,990 (close to/just under $325). Ideally, the maximum retail price IMO should be ₹17,490-17,990 (~$280-290). What do you guys think?

BlackBerry z3 is available at Rs. 15k and they release this at 15k and decrease the price of BlackBerry z3 to 10k than it would be very nice...

I do think most of the BlackBerry's are priced to high at launch (recently the classic) however, every time I see a launch of a new phone I hear Indians cry about it.

LOL.. this is an awesome thing to do. Me being an Indian truly understand what do you mean. Atleast for me this thread means no offence. I rather pride myself as a person who can laugh at myself. ( I speak for myself - can't say that about the rest of us though!)

Having said that, I would like you to list out and predict some of the possible comments those could splash over comments sections of future articles of Leap launch in India. Let me start :-

(PS- please feel free to use as many exclamation and question marks as possible)

    1. "Insane pricing BlackBerry!!!"
    2. "Too late, too little / too little, too late!!!"
    3. "Die BlackBerry!!!"
    4. " Better options available for cheaper price?!!!!"
    5. "BlackBerry switch to android!!!???"
    6. "Can I use 'viber / candicrush saga / truecaller / '???
    7. "Specs are not up to the mark"

Which device costs 200-300 these days? My passport ended up being $850 to buy outright.
