Check this out! This could be the flagship all-touch that me and so many others are waiting for! Plus, the timing matches some other all-touch rumors:

he knows absolutely nothing. This was announced by chen the other week that they had a new touch planned for spring. All he ever does is rehash old news and make it seem like he is giving you "news"

    That's what she said!

Just kidding. Right now, I'm wondering if this is going to be a true all-touch, or if it'll be the Visa slider. I could be very interested either way, but I honestly am more productive with all-touch devices.

At any rate, it's nice to have something to look forward to!

I've said it before and ill say it again, unless there is an official message sent out by BlackBerry or John Chen says something himself. DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING. Why get your hopes up to possibly be disappointed based on a post that some twitter guy made?

All we know at the moment is that there WILL be at least 1 new device made from BlackBerry next year. Anything else said is just speculation

Will it be a smartphone or a tablet/phablet? All-touch,with qwerty keyboard or will it be the rumored "visa/victoria" slider? ))

Here's the paragraph from the MobileSyrup article suggesting it could be the Visa / Victoria:

"Finally, another gem by Chen said that BlackBerry will unveil 'a new BlackBerry device concept' at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Again, no details were given, but this could be the slider featuring a storable keyboard [with] a pivoting cover."

Look folks, I don't want to throw cold water on this discussion but I just can't figure out why BlackBerry would be interested in the so-called Visa or slider. Yes, the board design is interesting but how does it alter the current user experience.

I think BlackBerry might be interested in the design for a couple of reasons. First, this sort of form factor might allow a single phone to meet the needs of both the physical keyboard fans and the all-touch crowd. For instance, I'm not a PKB fan, but I could see myself more likely going for the Visa with an optional keyboard experience and a form factor that's usable single-handedly than for the two-hand-only Passport.

Second, we know BlackBerry has the patent on the design and that Chen wants to nurture and grow BlackBerry's reputation as being an innovative handset OEM. Judging by the design, Visa would be pretty innovative, allowing BlackBerry to once again be noticed in a positive way.

LOL, it could be an announcement of an all-touch (Z50?)! Nothing's been written in stone, so we can't rule out that Chen might roll out a high-spec, all-touch beast!

I'm sorry, but no. Sliders target a niche, those who like sliders. PKB targets another niche, those who like PKB. And yours, well; let's just say it's a niche within a niche within a niche (nicheception...).

Few people like PKB, fewer still like sliders; the amount of full touch users that would go for a full touch/PKB/Slider hybrid is probably in the tripe digits worldwide.

The Passport has productivity going for it and that helps it push the boundaries of adoption, but the Visa concept is really nothing but a novelty.

One device that hasn't turned up yet is the z3 lte, if it was pushed back to allow more time for passport and classic, it could easily show up early next year so maybe their is some basis to the rumour, albeit only the all-touch part and not the high-end part of it.
